Chrysalis Community Drug Project

The name comes from the latin word chrysallis which means

  • the form taken by butterflies at an early stage in their development
  • a stage of being or growth

Chrysalis was set up in 1998 by a group of local residents and workers to address, and respond to drug issues within the Greater Stoneybatter area, Dublin 7.

Currently Chrysalis offers a broad range of services to people, living or working in the community, affected by drug use.

We provide

  • addiction counselling
  • information/referral
  • advocacy/support
  • drop-in services
  • holistics services
  • drug awareness courses
  • a range of services to drug using women working in prostitution
